LSU football is one of the teams to beat for one of the nation’s top 2021 defensive tackles.

When LSU football offered four-star defensive tackle Marcus Bradley a scholarship last month, the Maryland native called it a “dream offer”.

So it shouldn’t be a surprise that Bradley, 6-foot-3/270 lbs, included the Tigers in his top 10 schools.

Bradley revealed his top 10 via Twitter.

Bradley is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 11 player in the state of Maryland and the No. 16 defensive tackle in the nation.

247Sports national recruiting analyst Brian Dohn describes Bradley as a player that’s “explosive with body control and ability to change direction”.

Dohn also noted that Bradley could play either defensive end in a 3-4 alignment or defensive tackle in a 4-3 alignment. That’s important since LSU is moving to a 4-3 base defense under Bo Pelini in 2020.

Rivals mentioned last month that Ohio State is believed to be at the top of Bradley’s list. But that was before he received his “dream offer” from LSU.

Penn State, a program that Bradley visited during the fall, is also thought to be out in front for the four-star lineman.

LSU, however, is going to be a threat for nearly every top player they offer at this point. Winning a national championship will automatically vault the Tigers to the top of the list for a number of recruits.

I expect LSU to be a major factor for Bradley — especially with a renewed focus on landing defensive linemen that fit a 4-3 defensive scheme.
