2021 five-star linebacker Raesjon Davis is unsurprisingly a hot commodity in the college football recruiting world.

When 2021 five-star linebacker Raesjon Davis committed to LSU football on New Year’s Day, it didn’t deter other programs hoping to land the elite recruit.

And why would it?

The California native, who is rated by 247Sports as the No. 1 outside linebacker in the nation and the No. 19 overall 2021 player in the nation, will continue to be one of the most highly sought after recruits in the country — even if he’s committed to LSU.

Davis, 6-foot-1/215 lbs, recently told Rivals that Baylor, Oregon, Texas, Texas A&M and USC have all become “more involved” in his recruitment since he committed to LSU.

But Tigers fans shouldn’t fret — Davis said he doesn’t plan to take any other visits, saying “I don’t plan on taking visits now except for LSU…..that’s the only one I plan to take now”.

The “for now” might be a little concerning for fans, but it sounds like Davis is pretty locked in to LSU.

Davis told Rivals that he loves how the Tigers develop linebackers, even calling LSU “LBU”.

Ed Orgeron and his staff need to do everything they can to make sure other programs don’t become a factor for Davis. He has future NFL potential and could be a difference maker for the Tigers.

247Sports recruiting analyst Greg Biggins describes Davis as an “every down linebacker who does everything well”, noting that he excels in coverage and has great closing speed.

Next. The elite 2021 recruit the Tigers need to land. dark

LSU has a good one on the way in Davis, they just need to make sure they keep him committed.
