Former LSU football quarterback Joe Burrow does a tremendous impression of Ed Orgeron.

Everyone under the sun has done an Ed Orgeron impression, and that includes former LSU football quarterback Joe Burrow.

I’ll admit that the impressions of Orgeron have grown tiring. Can we not be original?

But I’ll make an exception for Burrow, since, unlike most of the people who make impressions of Coach O, he actually knows Orgeron personally.

Burrow recently gave his Coach O impression and he absolutely nailed it.

Simple, but effective.

Orgeron’s catchphrase has become a part of the college football lexicon. And it’s actually a great thing for LSU when it comes to recruiting.

Part of recruiting is building a brand and being recognizable nationwide. Coach O’s catchphrase, though simple, has managed to do that for the Tigers.

Of course, there’s more to recruiting than catchphrases and accents, but it helps. No detail can be overlooked when it comes to recruiting. You never know what might help land a recruit or what might scare a kid off.

Coach O has proved he’s a master when it comes to recruiting — even before he was LSU’s head coach. Orgeron had a great reputation as a recruiter at USC and that’s translated in Baton Rouge.

In fact, it could be argued that Orgeron is even better as a recruiter in his home state than he was in California. He’s relatable in Louisiana, which gives him added “cred” when it comes to recruiting in-state players.

Next. Star players won't receive special treatment. dark

The Orgeron impressions might be tiresome, but they give LSU an added boost in recruiting every time they happen on a big stage.
