NEW ORLEANS, LOUISIANA – JANUARY 13: Head coach Ed Orgeron of the LSU Tigers disagrees with a referee call during the third quarter of the College Football Playoff National Championship game against the Clemson Tigers at the Mercedes Benz Superdome on January 13, 2020 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Nicholls State @ LSU (October 3)

This is it for the “tune up” games on LSU’s schedule. After this matchup against Nicholls State, the Tigers play seven straight games against SEC opponents (eight if they make the SEC Championship game again).

LSU should cruise in this one. By now, I feel like the team should be finding its groove with new defensive coordinator Bo Pelini. And Myles Brennan will show he’s more than a capable replacement for Joe Burrow.

Prediction: LSU wins (5-0)
