LSU football is getting a visit this weekend from one of the top 2021 wide receivers in the nation.

2021 four-star wide receiver Christian Dixon will visit LSU football this weekend.

Dixon, 6-foot-2/187 lbs from Santa Ana, CA, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 17 player in the state of California and the No. 33 wide receiver in the nation.

The California native tweeted about his upcoming visit on Wednesday.

Dixon has a couple of strong connections to LSU. He attends the same high school (Mater Dei) as 2021 Tigers commit Raesjon Davis (who is joining him on the visit). Davis, a five-star linebacker, is rated as the No. 29 overall 2021 player in the nation.

2020 LSU signee Elias Ricks started his high school career at Mater Dei, before transferring to IMG Academy for his senior season (so he could graduate early).

It looks like Ed Orgeron and his staff have created a nice recruiting pipeline to the Los Angeles area.

As for Dixon, he would certainly be a nice addition for the Tigers.

247Sports recruiting analyst Blair Angulo describes Dixon as a wide receiver who has the “physicality to overmatch defensive backs” and is “technical enough to be a weapon over the middle”.

Angulo also notes that Dixon has “decent top-end speed”.

Dixon told Rivals last summer “I love the swagger (at LSU) and what they bring to the table and you know they’re coming”.

I wouldn’t be surprised at all to see LSU steal Dixon from the west coast — especially considering the connections he has to Davis and Ricks.
