LSU football’s Ed Orgeron is looking to improve as a head coach in 2020.

Don’t expect LSU football to let off the gas in 2020 just because they won it all last season.

After one of the most dominant seasons in college football history, Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron is looking for ways to improve as a head coach.

The first way he hopes to improve?

By working harder.

Coach O told reporters on Wednesday that he’s vowing to work harder in 2020.

Orgeron also noted that it’s time to turn the page on 2019.

But that doesn’t mean he’s not expecting the same results. Coach O said he has high expectations for LSU’s 2020 football team.

Will the 2020 Tigers go 15-0 and dominate the way the 2019 team did?

Probably not.

But Orgeron has set a standard at LSU and that standard is winning national championships. Orgeron will be realistic in his pursuit of his second championship ring, but that’s still the expectation.

I don’t think there’s anyone in the country that can motivate like Coach O. The fact he’s vowing to work harder just two months after beating Clemson speaks volumes about the kind of man that Orgeron is.

Coach O has worked for decades to get to the pinnacle of college football. He’s been passed over for jobs and dealt with plenty of adversity. You could hardly blame him if he wanted to enjoy winning it all in 2019. But that’s just not who Ed Orgeron is as a coach.

Coach O keeps key recruiting promise. dark. Next

He’s determined to continue improving as a head coach. And with his mindset, there’s no doubt he’ll be an even better coach in 2020 than he was in 2019.
