LSU football is one of the teams to beat for an elite 2021 four-star wide receiver from Florida.

LSU football is among the top three schools for 2021 four-star wide receiver Romello Brinson.

The Florida native told Geaux247 recently that he plans on making an official visit to Tiger Stadium this season to get the “full experience” at LSU.

Brinson, 6-foot-2/180 lbs from Opa Locka, FL, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 19 player in the state of Florida and the No. 24 wide receiver in the nation.

Northwestern High coach Max Edwards, Brinson’s high school coach, told Rivals last year that Brinson is the most pure wide receiver he’s ever coached. Edwards also noted “He has great instincts, just the way he plays the position he has a lot of knowledge of that position, understands how to read coverages.”

Brinson, who according to Edwards runs a 4.4 40 yard dash, was previously committed to Miami.

The Hurricanes will remain a threat to land Brinson, but it sounds like LSU has made a big impression on the four-star recruit.

However, one thing that isn’t in the Tigers’ favor is distance. Brinson told Rivals last month “Miami is close to home. I like to feeling of being able to go home anytime I want”.

That wouldn’t be an option for Brinson if he signed with LSU. Baton Rouge is 12 hours from his hometown.

Of course, if Brinson wants to go to a school that will get him to the NFL, there’s probably not a better choice than LSU right now.
