LSU football is in the mix to land a four-star wide receiver from the sunshine state.

2021 four-star wide receiver Yulkeith Brown Jr might be from Miami, but he has LSU football on the mind.

Brown, 5-foot-10/164 lbs, is rated by Rivals as the No. 37 player in the state of Florida.

The dynamic wide receiver recently talked to Rivals about his recruitment. Brown called LSU a “dream school” and said the Tigers made a good first impression on his recent visit to Baton Rouge.

Brown, who said he plans to commit later this summer, also has interest in Alabama, Miami, Penn State, South Carolina and Texas A&M.

The Florida native could be a unique player for the Tigers. He’s not exceptionally fast (he reportedly runs the 40 yard dash in 4.83 seconds), but he’s extremely versatile.

Brown can play running back or wide receiver, which would give LSU a variety of ways to use him.

As a sophomore in high school, Brown rushed for 1,430 yards and compiled 1,725 yards. He might not be a star in the SEC, but he’s a player that could certainly cause headaches for opposing defensive coordinators.

LSU is in great shape at wide receiver at the moment, so it’s unclear how hard they’re pursuing Brown. Even after star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase leaves for the NFL after the 2020 season, the Tigers will still have a stable of stud wideouts, including recently signed five-star wide receiver Kayshon Boutte and four-star wide receiver Koy Moore.

The Tigers currently have one wide receiver committed to their 2021 recruiting class — four-star wide receiver Deion Smith.
