LSU football is well represented in the NFL.

According to ESPN’s database, there are currently 46 former LSU football players in the NFL.

It shouldn’t come as a surprise that LSU has sent a load of players to the NFL — the Tigers routinely land some of the top recruiting classes in the nation.

LSU will add to that number in just a couple of months (or whenever the 2020 NFL Draft happens, thanks a lot, Coronavirus). 16 LSU players were invited to the 2020 NFL Draft combine, including the likely top selection, quarterback Joe Burrow.

You know how players say their alma mater when they’re introduced on Sunday Night Football?

I don’t think we’ll see a game next season where there isn’t at least one player that mentions LSU.

So with all of that former LSU talent in the NFL, it got me thinking about the five best former Tigers currently in the league.

Before we get to the five best players, here are a few who just missed the cut.

Just missed the cut:

  • Kwon Alexander — San Francisco 49ers — Linebacker
  • DJ Chark — Jacksonville Jaguars — Wide Receiver
  • Leonard Fournette — Jacksonville Jaguars — Running Back
  • Tyrann Mathieu — Kansas City Chiefs — Safety
  • Tre’Davious White — Buffalo Bills — Cornerback
