LSU football is one of the teams to beat for four-star 2021 defensive lineman Bryce Langston.
Langston, 6-foot-3/250 lbs from Ocala, FL, is rated by 247Sports as the No. 7 player in the state of Florida and the No. 4 weak-side defensive end in the nation.
The Florida native tweeted on Saturday night that his final two schools are Florida and LSU.
Langston recently discussed his recruitment with 247Sports and he seemed a little more excited about LSU than Florida.
“They are recruiting me hard. They just won a national championship. It was a great season….we’ve got a good relationship”, said Langston of LSU to 247Sports.
When asked about Florida, Langston wasn’t quite as exuberant, simply saying “Nothing I can really answer, just positive vibes always at Florida….That’s really it.”
Dakota Mitchell, a three-star safety who committed to the Tigers last week, recently suggested on Twitter that more players from Florida will be committing to LSU in the near future.
Don’t expect an announcement from Langston too soon, though.
Langston told Rivals last month that he was going to drag out his recruitment. Of course, recruiting is always fluid. Plans can change quickly.
If the Tigers mange to land Langston, they’ll be getting a player who’s described by 247Sports’ Andrew Ivins as a defensive end who has “a quick first step” and “a low center of gravity which allows him to bend out on the edge and get to the quarterback”.
The Tigers currently have five players committed to their 2021 recruiting class.
