LSU Football: 5 non-conference games we’d love to see the Tigers play
By Zach Ragan
LSU football is one of the most popular programs in the nation after dominating the 2019 season and winning the national championship.
LSU football has a plethora of great non-conference games on the horizon.
The Tigers play Texas again in 2020, they travel to UCLA in 2021, and they play Florida State in New Orleans in 2022.
LSU’s awesome matchups don’t stop there, either. The Tigers have a home-and-home series scheduled with Clemson in 2025-26 and a home-and-home with Oklahoma in 2027-28.
Beyond that, LSU has home-and-homes scheduled with Arizona State and Utah as well (kudos to LSU for scheduling some home-and-home matchups).
Those are some fun matchups on tap for LSU, but there are several other games I’d absolutely love to see the Tigers play.
And I want to see LSU play the following five games I’m going to list in a home-and-home setting.
I love the tradition of college football. The stadiums, the pageantry. All of it. Whether it’s at LSU or on another campus, it’s part of what makes college football great.
Neutral site games — every now and then — can be fun. But I’m only a fan of a neutral site game if it’s a one-time matchup between teams.
For example, I don’t like Florida State and LSU playing in New Orleans and Orlando. I feel like we’re getting robbed of seeing those programs play two great on campus games.
It’s good for recruiting. I get it. But that doesn’t mean I have to like it.
Anyway, here are the five non-conference games I’d love to see LSU play.
