1. Walk off hit to win game 5 of the 2017 World Series

Game five of the 2017 World Series is one of the greatest games — in any sport — that I’ve ever seen. It was a back and forth classic that was a joy to watch.

With the series tied at two games apiece, the Dodgers jumped out to an early 3-0 lead in the top of the first. Los Angeles added another run in the top of the fourth to take a 4-0 lead.

The Astros, however, knotted it at four in the bottom of the fourth. The Dodgers answered by scoring three in the top of the fifth to take a 7-4 lead. And then Houston scored three in the bottom of the fifth to tie it.

Houston eventually took a 12-9 lead, but the Dodgers were able to score three runs in the top of the ninth to tie the game. The Astros were unable to score in the bottom of the ninth, which meant extra innings.

And that’s when the magic happened.

With two outs in the bottom of the 10th, and runners on first and second, Bregman swung at the first pitch from Dodgers closer Kenley Jansen and drove the ball to left field, scoring Derek Fisher from second and ending one of the wildest games in MLB history.

It doesn’t get much batter than that for a young baseball player.

The Astros would win the World Series in seven games.
