Jarvis Landry steps up to help during coronavirus outbreak

Former LSU wide receiver Jarvis Landry stepped up in a big way to help during the coronavirus outbreak.
The coronavirus outbreak has essentially shut down the entire sports world, but that’s not going to stop former LSU wide receiver Jarvis Landry from doing his part to help out.
Landry, who just finished his second season with the Cleveland Browns, recently donated $15,000 to the East Cleveland City School District. The money is specifically to provide hygiene products for the school district.
“I love the City of Cleveland, and I want to make sure our communities have the support that they need to stay safe and healthy”, said Landry this week in a press release.
Landry is one of many athletes who are donating significant amounts of money to aid in the nation’s fight against COVID-19.
Former LSU defensive lineman Danielle Hunter, who now plays for the Minnesota Vikings, donated his check from Madden 20 to Minnesota’s North Memorial hospital (as did his teammate, running back Dalvin Cook).
It’s truly great to see folks coming together to help defeat this terrible pandemic that’s gripping the entire world.
Hopefully we’ll all be able to shift our full attention back to sports in the very near future (once this outbreak passes…eventually).
Landry will be entering his seventh season in the NFL. He spent the first four years of his career with the Miami Dolphins. Landry was selected by Miami in the second round of the 2014 NFL Draft. The Dolphins traded Landry to Cleveland after the 2017 season for a fourth round pick and a seventh round pick.
The former LSU standout has played in five straight Pro-Bowls.
