Some Alabama fans in Tuscaloosa took a playful shot at LSU football fans this week.

It’s not often that I’ll give credit to Alabama fans, but their playful shot at LSU football fans this week was actually quite funny.

Thanks to the the ongoing coronavirus pandemic, social distancing has become a new way of life.

And promoting social distancing, to fight the coronavirus pandemic, is common to see these days.

The city of Tuscaloosa decided to have some fun and promote social distancing while also poking fun at LSU fans. The sign that was put up in Tuscaloosa said “6 feet, like how far you’d stand from an LSU fan”.

That’s fantastic. And it’s part of what makes the SEC so much fun. The rivalries are just different in the south. They’re way more intense. And they’re essentially year round (and extend beyond football).

By the way, I think it’s notable that Alabama didn’t use that opportunity to take a shot at one of their other rivals like Auburn or Tennessee. I think it’s pretty clear they know they’ve been unseated by LSU as the kings of the SEC.

And based on how Ed Orgeron is recruiting right now, I don’t see that changing anytime soon. The Tigers are on a roll and show no signs of slowing down.

Sorry, Alabama. Nick Saban has peaked. It’s LSU’s time to shine.

From here on out, it will be LSU that everyone is chasing — including Alabama.

Might as well just get used to it.
