Joe Burrow reveals best friend on LSU’s 2019 squad; favorite beverage

LSU football’s Joe Burrow spoke with Off The Bench on Tuesday, hitting on a variety of topics.
LSU football quarterback Joe Burrow appeared to be poised and ready for anything that opposing defenses tossed his way in 2019.
One of the main reasons he was able to stay calm while competing in the ultra-completive SEC West?
His best friend on the team, running back Clyde Edwards-Helaire.
Burrow revealed on Off the Bench on Tuesday that he and Edwards-Helaire were calming influences on each other in the Tigers’ backfield in 2019.
Edwards-Helaire was a monster for LSU last season, rushing for 1,414 yards and 16 touchdowns. The dynamic running back was also a key part of the Tigers’ passing game, catching 55 passes for 453 yards and a touchdown.
It’s certainly easy to see how Burrow and Edwards-Helaire were able to calm each other’s nerves at times — both players proved to be elite at their respective positions.
That wasn’t the only piece of information that Burrow revealed on Tuesday, by the way.
The soon-to-be top pick in the 2020 NFL Draft also discussed his favorite beverage.
Burrow is apparently a big fan of orange juice. In fact, he said he’s probably made Simply Orange Juice “hundreds of thousands of dollars over the years”.
I have a feeling Burrow is about to be able to afford a lifetime supply of orange juice (or he’ll receive a nice endorsement opportunity from Simply Orange Juice, if he hasn’t already).
Finally, Burrow also discussed his love for Louisiana and LSU, pledging to return to Baton Rouge often.
“They gave me my career. Coach O and LSU resurrected my career and made me what I am today. They gave me the platform and the opportunity. It’s not the last you’ll see of me, I’ll be back all the time”, said Burrow.
Joe Burrow is special in every way. It’s a great feeling know he’ll be representing LSU every step of the way as he embarks on what’s expected to be a tremendous professional football career.
