LSU football’s Joe Burrow is truly one of a kind and he displayed that this week.

LSU football quarterback Joe Burrow will see his life change dramatically on Thursday night when he’s (likely) selected with the first overall pick in the 2020 NFL Draft.

Burrow will be on the receiving end of a call from the Cincinnati Bengals’ front office (barring a trade) that will inform him he’s about to become the franchise’s new quarterback.

But before he gets to draft night, Burrow took an opportunity to use his platform to be on the other side of the phone to bring some good vibes to Lowe’s employees in Athens, OH (Burrow’s hometown).

Burrow participated in surprise video calls with associates and thanked them for their hard work during the ongoing coronavirus pandemic. Burrow also offered to host associates he talked with at a future home game (wherever he plays….but we all know it’s going to be in Cincinnati, which is just under three hours away from Athens).

Lowes’ will also be launching a campaign during the 2020 NFL Draft to thank their nearly 300,000 associates for their work on the frontlines during the pandemic.

It’s pretty cool to see Burrow reaching out to workers in his hometown. He’s already one of the most famous people in the state of Ohio — even though he made his name in Baton Rouge — and he’s going to be even more famous after the Bengals make him the top selection in the 2020 NFL Draft.

The only question I have after Burrow made his invitations is whether or not the associates were Bengals fans or Browns fans? Of course, it probably doesn’t matter. Because I have a feeling after they’re hosted by Burrow for a game, they’ll be Bengals fans for life.

Maybe they’ll even start cheering for LSU over Ohio State. Hey, crazier things have happened.
