LSU football’s Joe Burrow will almost certainly be the first selection in the 2020 NFL Draft on Thursday night.

Most future NFL players spend the days/weeks leading up to the draft trying to increase their draft stock as much as possible, unless your name is Joe Burrow.

The former LSU football signal caller is already the most sought after player in the 2020 NFL Draft. There’s nothing he can do to become more attractive to the Cincinnati Bengals (the team that currently holds the first pick and will almost certainly select Burrow first overall).

Burrow’s pre-draft confidence is so high that he’s not even trying to give off the illusion that he’s working 24 hours a day.

Jimmy Burrow appeared on Paul Finebaum’s show on Monday and discussed what his son has been doing during the quarantine over the last several weeks.

It pretty much involves a basement, video games and lots of episodes of the “The Office”.

I love Burrow’s approach to football and life. He has nothing to prove to teams ahead of the draft. His leadership abilities and results on the field have done all the talking.

Now, that will obviously change once Burrow is in the NFL. But I feel very confident that we’ll see Burrow display a work ethic at the next level that’s second to none.

Burrow didn’t become the best quarterback in college football last season (maybe the best college football quarterback in history) without a strong work ethic.

But the fact that Burrow was ok with his dad going on a national television show and saying that he’s just chilling in the basement playing video games, shows just how confident Burrow is in his abilities.

That kind of self confidence is rare. And it’s one of the main reasons that Burrow is going to excel at the next level.
