LSU football is pursuing a four-star offensive lineman from the west coast.

LSU football is poised to have one of the top-rated 2021 recruiting classes in the nation (maybe the No. 1 class), but that doesn’t mean they’re not also working on the 2022 recruiting class.

The Tigers extended an offer this week to 2022 four-star offensive tackle Malik Agbo.

Agbo, 6-foot-5/295 lbs from Federal Way, WA, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 6 player in the state of Washington and the No. 19 offensive tackle in the nation.

The talented recruit also has offers from Arizona State, Oregon, Tennessee, USC and Washington, among several others.

Does LSU football have a legit chance to land Agbo?

Agbo recently discussed his recruitment with Rivals and it sounds like he’s high on the Tigers.

“To be offered from a program the likes of LSU and what Coach Orgeron has done to turn the program around and start winning championships is very big. I think I would be a pretty good fit at LSU,” said Agbo.

The Washington native added “I’m a big fan of the hype videos that they put out on social media…….when you see Coach Orgeron’s pregame and post-game speeches on those things, he’s spitting straight facts. It spills over to the team and it shows.”

Agbo made sure to point out that LSU has his eye.

If the Tigers were to land a commitment from Agbo, they’d be getting a player described by 247Sports national recruiting editor Brandon Huffman as a player with the “size to play tackle, strength to slide inside and play guard”. Huffman also noted that Agbo “projects as multi-year Power 5 starter and projects as third-day pick”.

Agbo said he hopes to visit LSU as soon as he can.
