Quote from 4-star OL proves LSU football is becoming the standard in the SEC
By Zach Ragan
LSU football is becoming the standard in college recruiting.
I recently wrote about how I believe LSU football is one the verge of dominating college football recruiting.
The biggest reason I feel that way is because of the addition of defensive coordinator Bo Pelini, who is undoubtedly a better recruiter than his predecessor, Dave Aranda.
But that’s not the only reason I feel like the Tigers are going to continue to build unstoppable momentum on the recruiting trail.
It’s also because recruits already view LSU as the standard.
And that could mean bad news for the rest of the SEC.
LSU football is THE destination for high school players
2022 four-star offensive lineman Blake Miller, who recently received an offer from the Tigers, talked to Rivals this past week about his recruitment. And he had nothing but glowing things to say about Ed Orgeron and LSU.
“I love how much (Orgeron) eats, sleeps and breathes winning and making great football programs. The LSU program is one that is designed to strive to do great things,” said Miller.
He followed up that comment by adding “I definitely want to play at a school [with] the same culture as LSU”.
Miller already has offers from Clemson, Florida, Michigan and Ohio State, among others.
That’s a who’s who list of college football programs.
Yet LSU’s culture is the one that sticks out to him. LSU’s culture is the one he sees as the standard.
If that not’s proof that Coach O and his staff have built something incredibly special in Baton Rouge, then I don’t know what is.
The Tigers haven’t come close to peaking yet. Orgeron is just getting started.
Buckle up if you’re an LSU fan, it’s going to be a fun ride for the foreseeable future.
