LSU Football: Tigers have one of the most exciting games on 2020 schedule

LSU football will play in one of the top 10 games of the season in 2020.
According to 247Sports, LSU football will play in the ninth-best game of the 2020 season.
247Sports recently ranked the 20 best college football games of the 2020 season and they have the Tigers’ home matchup against Alabama on November 7 rated at No. 9.
That’s not the only appearance LSU made in the top 20. 247Sports has the LSU at Florida game ranked at No. 14 and Texas at LSU ranked No. 15.
Why LSU football vs Alabama is so important in 2020
Not only will the Tigers’ matchup against the Crimson Tide be fun to watch in 2020, it will also be an incredibly important matchup.
Alabama is the perceived favorite in the SEC West this upcoming season. That means if LSU is going to repeat as SEC West division champs, they’ll have to go through Bama.
And that’s never easy — regardless of what happened in 2019.
Much of the offseason has been spent debating whether or not LSU will be a serious contender in 2020 after losing so much talent from their championship team to the NFL. This matchup against Alabama will be a chance for LSU to prove they have some staying power at the top of the SEC.
This game could also help determine who ends up playing in the College Football Playoff.
While no one is expecting LSU to dominate the way they did last season, the Tigers will still be one of a handful of teams that have the potential to reach the playoff in 2020.
