247Sports has made it clear how they feel about LSU football in 2020.

Earlier this month, I suggested that 247Sports could regret the bold prediction they made for LSU football in 2020.

A few weeks later and it appears 247Sports isn’t ready to back off their prediction.

In fact, they’re doubling down on it.

247Sports revealed their College Football Playoff top 10 rankings this week and the Tigers weren’t included.

The disrespect for LSU football continues

When 247Sports predicted that LSU would play in the Peach Bowl this season, I figured it meant they didn’t think the Tigers would finish in the top 10.

It looks as though I was correct. Kinda.

247Sports has LSU finishing in the top 10 of their top 25 rankings, but they have the Tigers finishing outside of their College Football Playoff top 10 rankings, opting instead to include Oklahoma State and Oregon.

“LSU is the lone top 10 team in the Top 25 to not receive a vote in the playoff ballot, but that’s not at all surprising considering it’s still just the fourth-best SEC team in said Top 25,” wrote 247Sports’ Trey Scott.

Look, if analysts don’t want to include LSU in College Football Playoff prediction, I get it. With everything the Tigers are losing, I can see why some folks don’t think LSU will finish in the top four of the playoff rankings.

But leaving the Tigers out of the top 10?

That’s just downright disrespectful to Ed Orgeron and his staff.

LSU may have lost a lot of talent to the NFL (and the all-important Joe Brady, who helped revolutionize the offense), but there’s still a lot of talent in Baton Rouge.

I think the talent is there for the Tigers to reach the playoff. And I wouldn’t be surprised if they did for a second straight season.

Next. Ja'Marr Chase could have a big decision to make. dark

If LSU manages to reach the playoff in 2020, maybe 247Sports will finally start giving Coach O the respect he deserves.
