LSU Football: 2022 Tigers commit working hard to bring talented OL to Baton Rouge

One of LSU football’s 2022 commits is working hard to bring a talented offensive lineman to Baton Rouge.
2022 four-star quarterback Walker Howard committed to LSU football just a little over a month ago and he’s already a key recruiter for the Tigers.
Howard, who is rated as the No. 3 pro-style quarterback in the nation in 247Sports’ composite rankings, is working hard to make sure he has one of the best offensive linemen in the nation protecting his blind side in Baton Rouge.
The Lafayette, LA native recently told Rivals that he’s trying to help LSU land 2022 four-star offensive lineman Will Campbell.
“I’m really looking forward to Will Campbell being my left tackle. He’s loving it,” said Howard.
The dynamic 2022 quarterback added “I told him to think about LSU just winning a national championship and being the best team in the country. We can do that again.”
Campbell, 6-foot-6/280 lbs from Monroe, LA, is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 2 player in the state of Louisiana and the No. 3 offensive tackle in the nation. He’s also rated as the No. 39 overall 2022 recruit in the nation.
247Sports midland region recruiting analyst Gabe Brooks describes Campbell as a “high-major offensive tackle prospect with terrific tools and long-term potential to reach the NFL Draft”.
Brooks also notes that Campbell “shows consistently good hand placement and keeps his mitts inside targets”.
Walker Howard is working to land other high-profile recruits for LSU football, too
Campbell isn’t the only player Howard is trying to bring to LSU. He’s also targeting a couple of wide receivers he’d like to throw to.
2022 four-star wide receiver Shazz Preston and 2022 four-star wide receiver Decoldest Crawford (who is already committed to LSU) are a couple of other players that Howard said he’s been communicating with lately.
