LSU Football: Joe Burrow is the coolest guy in the NFL
By Zach Ragan
Former LSU football quarterback Joe Burrow is the coolest guy in the NFL.
LSU football fans have been well aware that Joe Burrow reeks of “coolness” for a while.
The image of Burrow puffing on a cigar while sitting on a couch after leading the Tigers to a win against Clemson in the national championship game this past January is already an all-time great photo.
Burrow, however, doesn’t just look cool. He lives it, too.
In everything he does, whether it’s leading, practicing, or taking a big hit.
Joe Burrow won’t admit to getting hit hard
Burrow has obviously taken some big hits while playing football during his career. From high school to college to NFL practices — big hits are part of the game.
But what’s the toughest hit Burrow has taken?
It looks like we’ll never know.
Burrow was asked on Wednesday about the toughest hit he’s ever taken and he wouldn’t give up any names.
“I won’t give anybody that satisfaction,” said Burrow (via ESPN’s Ben Baby).
I’m definitely not surprised by this answer from Burrow.
The former LSU standout is wise enough to know he’s taken some tough hits. And he knows that everyone knows he’s taken some big hits.
But letting a particular player know they delivered the biggest hit?
Nah, that’s not how Burrow rolls.
It’s truly insane how competitive Burrow can be. But that’s what makes him so good. That’s what makes him the guy that the Cincinnati Bengals believe can turn their franchise around.
Burrow is going to get beat in the NFL. He’s going to lose some Sundays. But more often than not, he’s going to be the most competitive player on the field.
And if he’s not one game?
Well I wouldn’t want to play against him the next week.
