Things aren’t going well for LSU football this season.

The 2020 version of LSU football could not be more different than the 2019 version of LSU football.

Last season, LSU usually had 14 points on the board by the time fans were getting to their seats (or couch).

That hasn’t always been the case for the Tigers in 2020. There have been some good moments (like the South Carolina game), but there have also been some rough moments (like the Auburn game).

The first half of the Texas A&M game on Saturday night falls in the rough category.

LSU accomplished a feat on Saturday night against the Aggies for the first time since 2018.

And it wasn’t a good feat.

The Tigers were shut out in the first half of their matchup against Texas A&M (Aggies led 13-0 at the half).

The last time LSU was shut out in the first half was on November 3, 2018, against Alabama. The Tigers ended up losing the game 29-0.

True freshman TJ Finley got the start at quarterback for LSU against the Aggies. He tossed for 89 yards and an interception in the first half. He also rushed two times for nine yards.

Wide receiver Terrace Marshall Jr was one of the few bright spots for LSU in the first half, catching three passes for 69 yards.

Now, to be totally fair, LSU got robbed of some points.

Finley threw a 31-yard touchdown pass to Kayshon Boutte that was wrongly overturned by the refs.

Next. There's another reason to be impressed by Joe Burrow. dark

Either way, the points didn’t put on the board and LSU was shut out in the first half for the first time in over two years.
