"LSU football has a legitimate star on their hands in true freshman Kayshon Boutte."

Is there any doubt that LSU football is the one and only wide receiver U?

Jarvis Landry, Odell Beckham Jr, Justin Jefferson, and Ja’Marr Chase.

All legitimate stars (can’t wait to see what Chase does in the NFL next season).

Terrace Marshall Jr, who opted out of the 2020 season in late November, will be another LSU wide receiver that likely becomes a household name in the NFL.

And that’s not all.

True freshman Kayshon Boutte is well on his way to becoming the next Tigers wide receiver to become a star.

LSU football’s Kayshon Boutte has the attitude to be elite

Boutte proved in LSU’s season-finale against Ole Miss on Saturday that he was worthy of being rated as the No. 24 overall player in the 2020 recruiting class (Boutte was rated as the No. 2 wide receiver in the nation).

The Louisiana native caught 14 passes for 308 yards and three touchdowns against the Rebels.

👀

Those are insane numbers in an SEC game for any wide receiver. It’s even more insane for a true freshman that’s playing with a true freshman quarterback (Max Johnson).

Boutte is a stud. And it shouldn’t be a surprise after something Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron said on Saturday after LSU’s win.

The day Ja’Marr Chase left, Kayshon had a tremendous practice,” said Orgeron. “He was catching the go route about as good as anybody I’ve seen, but he’s learned the offense”.

I think this is a telling quote.

Boutte knew when Chase left that he had an opportunity to make a massive impact on LSU’s offense.

And he immediately went to work.

That kind of attitude is what takes a wide receiver from being good to great. It’s what separates extremely talented wide receivers who don’t make it in the NFL from those who do.

Boutte has the “it” factor. He proved it when Chase left Baton Rouge and he proved it again in the last game of the season.

Why Ed Orgeron deserves more respect than ever. dark. Next

Tigers fans should be extremely excited about the future of LSU football with players like Boutte on the roster.
