LSU Football: 3 options to replace Scott Linehan as passing game coordinator
By Zach Ragan
DJ Mangas — Carolina Panthers offensive assistant
DJ Mangas and Joe Brady have known each other for a long time. They coached together at William & Mary and at LSU.
“I think DJ is going to be one of those coaches that everybody’s going to be wanting,” said Brady earlier this year (via The Athletic).
Look, if you can’t get Brady back (which obviously isn’t happening), then you might as well get the next best thing.
Mangas was Brady’s right-hand man at LSU. He was always seated beside Brady in the coaches’ box. And right now, Mangas is in essentially in the same position that Brady was in when Orgeron stole him from he New Orleans Saints.
So why not go down that road again?
I’m not sure who Orgeron will end up hiring. But there’s no doubt he has plenty of great options. Hopefully, he chooses one of them from this list because I think it would be a great move for the future of LSU football.
