LSU Football: Tigers offer 3-star in-state OL
By Zach Ragan
LSU football is hoping to land a talented 2022 in-state offensive lineman.
The Tigers extended an offer to three-star offensive tackle Bo Bordelon this week, according to Rivals.
Bordelon, 6-foot-5/250 lbs from New Orleans, LA (Isidore Newman), is rated in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 68 offensive tackle in the nation and the No. 31 player in the state of Louisiana.
In addition to his offer from LSU, Bordelon also has offers from Colorado, Nicholls State, and Virginia.
LSU football should be the favorites for Bordelon
I think it goes without saying that LSU should be the favorite to land Bo Bordelon.
The Tigers don’t often miss on in-state players — especially a player like Bordelon who isn’t very highly rated.
Bordelon, unsurprisingly, grew up a Tigers fan. And he has a sister that attends LSU.
“My family and I have always been LSU fans our entire lives and growing up in South Louisiana, the Tigers surround everything in my life,” said Bordelon (via Rivals). “Having a sister that goes there, this was an exciting offer in our family for sure.”
Bordelon’s father was an offensive lineman at LSU in the 1990s, giving LSU another strong connection to the talented 2022 recruit.
I’d honestly be shocked if LSU didn’t land Bordelon. He’s an LSU legacy and a Louisiana native. It’s hard to imagine another program convincing him to eschew the Tigers.
However, while I expect Bordelon to ultimately end up at LSU, I think he’ll take his time with his decision as well. Now that LSU has offered, I wouldn’t be surprised if other programs start taking notice of Bordelon.
