LSU football‘s 2021 recruiting class is ranked No. 4 in the nation in 247Sports’ composite rankings.

Not a bad year of recruiting for the Tigers.

But what if I told you that LSU may not be done adding talent to their 2021 class?

The Tigers currently have 22 players in their 2021 class, which means they have three spots to fill.

LSU would like to add at least one transfer (likely a linebacker), which leaves two spots for 2021 recruits.

Who could LSU football land to round out their 2021 class?

Early in the 2021 recruiting cycle, I felt strongly that four-star wide receiver Brian Thomas Jr would end up being part of the Tigers’ 2021 class.

The Walker, LA native is rated as a top 15 wide receiver in the nation. It seems like a no-brainer that he’d spend his college career in Baton Rouge.

But so far, Thomas, who has offers from Alabama, Auburn, and Texas A&M (among others) has yet to commit anywhere.

This might seem like a bad sign for the Tigers (why would it take so long for a Louisiana native to decide LSU was the right place), but I think this is going to end up working out in the Tigers’ favor.

247Sports reported on Saturday that LSU has been in “talks” lately with Thomas. At this point, it feels like only a matter of time before Thomas makes it official and commits to LSU (National Signing Day is less than a week away).

Landing Thomas would be a huge get for the Tigers. He’s 6-foot-4 and has a nice burst off the line. When you combine the size and the speed, it makes Thomas a player that will be nearly impossible to cover at the next level.
