Koy Moore — Sophomore wide receiver
Kayshon Boutte is the Tigers wide receiver who is going to receive the most hype going into the 2021 season.
That’s because Boutte is a former five-star wide receiver who was ranked as the No. 24 overall recruit in the 2020 recruiting class. Boutte is expected to be LSU’s go-to option in the passing game with Terrace Marshall, Arik Gilbert, and Racey McMath gone.
But don’t sleep on Koy Moore.
Moore, a former four-star wide receiver who was ranked as the No. 299 overall 2020 recruit, has the size/skills to be a solid No. 2 wide receiver for the Tigers.
As a true freshman this past season, Moore caught 22 passes for 177 yards. Modest numbers, but not bad for a true freshman in only 10 games with a less-than-desirable quarterback situation.
It feels like Moore is an afterthought at this point. But I expect him to be a key part of LSU’s offense in 2021. That’s why I think he’s a great “buy-low” option for the Tigers.
