LSU football is one of six teams that was recently included among the top schools for a three-star offensive tackle from Nashville, TN.

Jacob Hood, 6-foot-8/342 lbs, revealed a top-six earlier this week of LSU, Georgia, Mississippi State, Baylor, Georgia Tech, and Tennessee.

Hood is ranked as the No. 15 overall 2022 recruit in Tennessee.

So where do the Tigers stand in this recruiting battle?

LSU Football is in a good spot for Jacob Hood

It’s a bit too early to suggest there’s a favorite for Hood, but it certainly appears that LSU in a spot for the massive offensive lineman.

“There are four teams I can count on to hear from every week. LSU, Georgia, Tennessee, and Mississippi State hit me up every week, and talk to me,” said Hood to 247Sports earlier this month.

Hood, who will likely be a guard at the next level, is still narrowing down his list, but he knows what he’s looking for in a program.

“I want to be somewhere that I feel like the whole university cares about their players,” explained Hood (via 247Sports). “I also want to have a good connection with all of the coaches at that school.”

“I want to be somewhere that also has great fans, and I can be developed into a successful player on the field, and successful person off of it.”

That definitely describes LSU — a place that is as much about family as football. And the fan base is as passionate as any fan base in college football.

Next. OBJ and Tom Brady on the same team?. dark

It will obviously take some convincing to get Hood out of Tennessee, but I wouldn’t be shocked if Ed Orgeron and his staff pull it off.
