Former LSU baseball star Alex Bregman had a rapper perform at his wedding

Houston Astros third baseman Alex Bregman has spent much of the offseason working hard to rebound from a subpar 2020 season.

Bregman hit just .242 with six home runs in a shortened 2020 season.

It was a tough year for the former LSU baseball star — especially coming off the Astros cheating scandal that rocked the baseball world last winter.

Working hard to get better on the baseball field, however, wasn’t the only thing Bregman had going on this offseason.

He also had a wedding to prepare for.

Bregman married his fiancee Reagan Howard late last year. Details from the wedding are just now emerging.

Thanks to COVID-19, Bregman and Howard had to alter their wedding plans a bit. That meant folks getting tested for COVID prior to the wedding, including rapper Paul Wall, who performed at the wedding.

Bregman talked about Wall’s performance recently with The Knot.

“We had Paul Wall tested, and then he performed at the wedding,” said Bregman. “Our photographer stopped taking photos [at one point] and just started dancing.”

It’s not a surprise that Wall performed at Bregman’s wedding. That’s because Wall, who is from Houston, has been friends with Bregman for a while.

In fact, the two collaborated on a Houston t-shirt this past summer.

And Bregman and Wall even joined forces to raise money for the city of Houston in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic.

Wall also wrote a song a few years ago for Bregman and his teammates.

Now that’s Bregman’s wedding is behind him, he can get to work on proving the doubters wrong in 2021. There’s no doubt that will be plenty of criticism directed at the All-Star third baseman this season due to the scandal from last year.
