LSU Football among potential destinations for 2021 4-star safety
By Zach Ragan
LSU football is one of the potential landing spots for 2021 four-star safety Kendal Daniels, according to 247Sports.
Daniels, 6-foot-4/190 lbs from Beggs, OK (Beggs), is ranked in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 5 safety in the country.
The Oklahoma native originally signed with Texas A&M during the early signing period.
Daniels, however, was released from his National Letter of Intent this week, essentially re-opening his recruitment (Daniels had yet to enroll at Texas A&M).
247Sports reported that Daniels wanted out of his National Letter of Intent due to the departure of defensive analyst Ishmael Aristide.
Aristide left College Station to become the outside linebackers coach at Miami.

The Tigers have one scholarship remaining, and they were saving it because of the potential of a talented player hitting the transfer portal.
Daniels would certainly fit the bill. The four-star recruit could play linebacker at the next level, which would give whichever team signs him plenty of versatility.
According to Shea Dixon, who covers LSU for 247Sports, the Tigers are very interested in bringing Daniels to Baton Rouge.
Dixon also noted that there are three teams that appear to be the favorites to land Daniels — LSU, Oklahoma, and Oklahoma State.
Landing Daniels over his home-state teams could be tough, but the talented defender initially left Oklahoma for Texas A&M, so it’s not out of the question that LSU could win this recruiting battle.
It’s rare for a player this talented to still be available in late February, but it’s something we’re starting to see happen more thanks to the emerging popularity of the transfer portal.
