2022 four-star running back TreVonte’ Citizen recently revealed his top 10 schools and LSU football, unsurprisingly, made the cut.

The other nine teams in Citizen’s top 10 are Arkansas, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Texas A&M, Michigan, Mississippi State, Ole Miss, Texas, and USC.

Citizen, 6-foot/217 lbs, is from Lake Charles, LA (Lake Charles College Prep), which is about two hours west of Baton Rouge.

The Louisiana native is ranked in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 12 running back in the country and the No. 10 player in Louisiana.

LSU football should be considered the team to beat for TreVonte’ Citizen

It’s hard to imagine the Tigers not being the favorite for Citizen.

We’ve said it many times before, but it always bears repeating — LSU doesn’t miss often on elite in-state talent. And if Citizen is a guy the Tigers want on the roster, then there’s a really good chance he’ll be part of LSU’s 2022 signing class.

Citizen spoke to 247Sports before dropping his top 10 about his recruitment.

The talented running back said he plans to make a decision by August. He also noted that he’s been talking a lot with LSU running backs coach Kevin Faulk.

“My contact the most is Kevin Faulk, that’s my guy,” said Citizen. “We’ve been chatting for the longest. I’ve been knowing him since we clicked when I went to LSU camp my freshman year. That connection he keeps with me. LSU, they’re doing big things over there.”
