2023 three-star defensive back Ryan Robinson is hoping to soon get an offer from LSU football.

Robinson, 6-foot/170 lbs from New Orleans, LA (Edna Karr), is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 34 cornerback in the 2023 recruiting class and the No. 12 player in Louisiana.

The Louisiana native may not have an offer from LSU (yet), but he already has offers from Florida State, Memphis, Michigan State, and Mississippi State.

If the Tigers offer, they’d likely be the frontrunners for the talented defensive back.

LSU football has several key connections to Ryan Robinson

It’s no surprise that LSU has several strong connections to Robinson.

Two of Robinson’s teammates are already committed to the Tigers (four-star wide receiver Aaron Anderson and four-star defensive tackle Tygee Hill).

“A lot of my teammates tell me if I get it (an offer), they want me to come with them,” said Robinson this week to Rivals. “I feel like I could go in there and start as a freshman.”

Another interesting connection is LSU recruiting specialist Mason Smith, who was previously at Mississippi State.

Robinson was offered by the Bulldogs in early January, which means Smith is likely very familiar with Robinson.

For now, Robinson says that Florida State is his top school. But if LSU offers, it seems like a high probability that the Tigers would leapfrog the Seminoles.

dark. Next. Joe Burrow said the right things, but he's probably wrong

Robinson still has a year and a half before he can sign anywhere. So LSU has plenty of time to evaluate the New Orleans native and decide whether or not they want to extend an offer.

If the Tigers decide Robinson is a player they want in Baton Rouge, it’s hard to imagine LSU losing the battle for the dynamic cornerback.
