LSU Football 2023 recruiting target Arch Manning, a five-star quarterback, has several recruiting trips lined up this summer.

And for now, Baton Rouge isn’t on his list.

Manning, 6-foot-4/200 lbs from New Orleans, LA (Isidore Newman), is ranked in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 1 pro-style quarterback in the country and the No. 3 overall player in the 2023 recruiting class.

According to 247Sports’ Steve Wiltfong, Manning is scheduled to visit Clemson, SMU, Texas, Alabama, and Georgia in June.

LSU Football fans shouldn’t worry about Arch Manning not visiting Baton Rouge in June

The battle for Manning is just getting started.

Manning isn’t going to be in a hurry to commit anywhere. He’s going to take his time, get all of the information, and take plenty of visits before making his final decision.

That’s why Manning is visiting some programs in June that he hasn’t seen much of yet.

Manning is already very familiar with LSU and Ole Miss (where most of his family attended college). That’s why those two programs aren’t immediately on the visit list for Manning.

Cooper Manning, Arch’s father, noted last summer that his son has been to several LSU games. Cooper also reiterated this week (via 247Sports), while discussing upcoming visits, that Arch has been to LSU and Ole Miss.

Manning is going to make sure he doesn’t miss anything during the recruiting process. He doesn’t want to overlook any programs (which is why eventual visits to Stanford, USC, and North Carolina are likely).

Once Manning’s recruitment starts narrowing, I think we’ll see him spend some more time in Baton Rouge.

I have no idea who will land the future stud quarterback (neither does his family at this point), but I expect the Tigers to at least be a factor until the very end of this battle.
