LSU Football: Tigers made a big impression on 2023 4-star tight end
By Zach Ragan
LSU football recently offered 2023 four-star tight end Lawson Luckie.
And the offer made a big impression on the talented tight end.
“It was huge to me. One of the best in the country for sure,” said Luckie to 247Sports. “I mean, LSU is one of the best teams in the nation, so there’s not much to not like.”
“It’s just a matter of how I’d fit into the team and that feel will only come with time,” added Luckie.
In addition to his offer from LSU, Luckie also has offers from Arkansas, Florida State, Georgia, South Carolina, and Texas A&M, among several others.
Lawson Luckie would be a great addition for LSU football
Luckie, 6-foot-3/225 lbs from Norcross, GA (Norcross), is ranked by 247Sports as the No. 11 tight end in the country and the No. 24 player in Georgia.
The Georgia native would be a solid addition for the Tigers, thanks to his crisp route running and ability to block.
Luckie’s experience playing high-level AAAAAAA high school football in Georgia also makes him an attractive option for LSU and other SEC programs.
The four-star tight end caught 35 passes for 389 yards and three touchdowns this past season for Norcross.
For now, it appears that Arizona State, Georgia, and South Carolina are out in front for Luckie. The offer from LSU, however, will certainly give Luckie another option to think about while he explores his options.
It’s still extremely early in this recruiting battle, but it sounds like the Tigers are going to be a major threat to land Lawson Luckie, one of the top players in Georgia.
