Former LSU Football quarterback Joe Burrow has only played in 10 career NFL games, but one NFL analyst already believes he’s better than a potential future Hall of Famer.

CBS Sports’ Adam Schein said recently that he believes the Cincinnati Bengals have a better quarterback than the Pittsburgh Steelers.

“I’m telling you right now, the Bengals are going to surprise some people… Cincinnati can win more games than the Pittsburgh Steelers because they have a better quarterback,” said Schein (via Twitter).

Ben Roethlisberger is entering his 18th season as the Steelers’ starting quarterback.

Burrow, who was the No. 1 pick by the Bengals in the 2020 NFL Draft, was only seven years old when the Steelers drafted Roethlisberger in the 2004 NFL Draft.

Joe Burrow has the better skills

It wouldn’t be fair to suggest that Burrow is going to have a better career than Roethlisberger.

What Roethlisberger has accomplished over the last 17 years is simply incredible. His longevity, combined with his two Super Bowl wins, all while playing for only one team, is extremely rare.

Can Burrow have that type of career?

Sure.

But there are far too many variables that go into whether or not Burow will that type of career (what type of team is put around him, can he avoid injuries, etc).

What Schein is saying here is that Burrow is the better quarterback RIGHT NOW. I think that’s very fair to say. Burrow doesn’t have the mileage that Roethlisberger has. There’s no doubt that Big Ben is entering the final part of his career. Burrow, however, is just getting started.

Next. LSU could be repeating costly mistake. dark

Will it be enough for the Bengals to overtake the Steelers in the AFC North?

That remains to be seen. But the feeling seems to be that Cincinnati is ready to take the next step with Burrow at the helm.
