LSU football was included among the top schools for one of the nation’s top-rated 2022 offensive linemen on Monday.

Four-star offensive tackle Malik Agbo included the Tigers in his top five, along with Arizona State, Florida, Miami, and Oklahoma.

Agbo, 6-foot-5/320 lbs from Federal Way, WA (Todd Beamer), is ranked in 247Sports’ composite rankings as the No. 25 offensive tackle in the country and the No. 6 player in Washington.

“LSU is one of my favorite schools from the moment they offered me back in May of 2020,” said Agbo to 247Sports. “From talking with Coach O to the GM, I can tell that LSU is a special place for me.”

Will LSU football land Malik Agbo?

It’s still a bit early to know how the recruiting battle for Agbo will play out.

That’s mostly because the talented offensive lineman still has several official visits to take.

Agbo is scheduled to officially visit Oklahoma and Miami this summer. He was supposed to visit LSU this summer as well, but he reportedly pushed his visit back after the Tigers’ changed offensive line coaches (Brad Davis replaced James Cregg as LSU’s offensive line coach earlier this offseason).

For now, only one 247Sports crystal ball prediction has been made for Agbo. The prediction was made by 247Sports national recruiting analyst Brandon Huffman. He has LSU landing the elite Washington native.

There’s still a lot of time left in this recruiting battle, so we’ll see how it shapes up. But it certainly sounds like LSU is in a good spot. It wouldn’t be a surprise to see the Tigers lure Agbo from the west coast to Baton Rouge.
