LSU injury report vs UCLA week 1
LSU head coach Ed Orgeron ruled out true freshman running back Armoni Goodwin and true freshman wide receiver Malik Nabers earlier this week. Stud cornerbacks Derek Stingley Jr and Eli Ricks are expected to be a full go for the game. Both players have been limited during fall camp.
Sophomore Max Johnson will start at quarterback with redshirt senior Myles Brennan sidelined due to a broken arm.
LSU vs UCLA odds and betting pick week 1
The latest odds from WynnBET have LSU as a -2.5 favorite (-110). UCLA at +2.5 is -105.
LSU is -135 on the money line, while UCLA is +115. The over/under for the game is 64 (-110).
The Tigers are the more talented team, so I’m taking them at -2.5 (and obviously taking them on the money line). I think the game could be close, but I doubt it comes down to the final play.
As for the over/under, I could see this game being a bit of a shootout. LSU is breaking in a new defensive coordinator, and UCLA — a team that plays with tempo — just scored 44 points last week. I’m taking the over.
