Lane Kiffin — Ole Miss head coach

Why not, right?

Lane Kiffin is a big personality. He’s one of the best play-callers in college football. And he can recruit like crazy.

Kiffin knows his ceiling isn’t very high at Ole Miss. He undoubtedly wants to beat Nick Saban. But Alabama is playing with a stacked deck.

If Kiffin took the LSU job, he could play Alabama every year with similar talent. I think LSU could be a destination job for Kiffin. Is it a bit of an odd fit? I would’ve thought that a few years ago. But I think it’s apparent at this point of Kiffin’s career that he can adapt to any environment. He’s gone from the Oakland Raiders to the Tennessee Vols to the USC Trojans to Alabama to Florida Atlantic to Ole Miss.

I’d say he can fit in anywhere.

The big question here is whether or not Kiffin would want to replace his good friend Ed Orgeron at LSU.
