LSU football might be going through a tough stretch on the field right now, but the fans are still undefeated when it comes to tailgates.

The Tigers are taking on the Florida Gators this week and LSU fans had a very appropriate food item on the tailgate menu.

We’ve seen Gator being cooked before when various SEC teams have played the Gators.

But what makes this one great is the charred “LSU” on the back of the Gator.

No one tailgates quite like Tigers fans.

LSU football is at a pivotal point in the season

Winning the tailgate is nice, but that’s not the win LSU fans are hoping to go home with on Saturday.

The Tigers are 3-3 entering the game against Florida on Saturday. By now, we all know that LSU head coach Ed Orgeron is in danger. It’s unlikely he’s back in Baton Rouge next season.

LSU, however, is bigger than Orgeron. Fans still want to see a successful season, regardless of what happens with Orgeron.

The Tigers are in danger of suffering their first losing season since 1999.

That’s an impressive streak and fans would hate to see it come to an end this season.

We saw LSU rally to finish the season strong in 2020. Hopefully, that will be the case in 2021, too.

The Tigers still have a lot to play for this season. A winning season and a bowl game are important for the future of the program.

Beating Florida would be a nice start to having a strong finish.
