LSU Football: Tigers head coaching search Hot Board 1.0
By Zach Ragan
James Franklin — Penn State head coach
It seems inevitable that James Franklin will leave Penn State. He’s mentioned in coaching searches every offseason. And he flirts with other programs on an annual basis. It’s just a matter of time.
I think the USC job is probably a better fit for Franklin. But he could work at LSU, too. Franklin had success at Vanderbilt (leading the program to back-to-back 9-win seasons), so I do not doubt that he could do extremely well at LSU.
Franklin could be a championship coach in Baton Rouge. He would be an upgrade over Coach O (Franklin is also a solid recruiter).
