Bill O’Brien — Alabama offensive coordinator/former Houston Texans head coach

Again, not a flashy name, but Bill O’Brien would be a solid option for LSU. He’s coached in some big-time football games in his career. And he understands the college game from his time at Penn State and now at Alabama.

O’Brien is currently serving as Bama’s offensive coordinator, so he’s getting a good taste of what the SEC is all about.

The only concern here is whether or not O’Brien would be an effective recruiter. I’m also not sure if O’Brien wants to continue in the college game. I wouldn’t be surprised if he wants to get back to the NFL as quickly as possible.
