LSU Football had one of the most memorable quotes of the 2021 season

247Sports revealed their most memorable quotes of the 2021 season this week, but they forgot an LSU football related quote that easily could’ve topped their list.

Now, to be fair, 247Sports did mostly nail their list.

They included highlights of the season such as Nebraska’s Scott Frost saying “About half of our game plan was out the window when they lined up how they did” after losing to Illinois.

South Carolina head coach Shane Beamer saying “They’ve got like 100 five-star football players on their defense” about Georgia was also included.

But a quote from former Tigers head coach Ed Orgeron from early in the season was surprisingly omitted.

Ed Orgeron’s regrettable quote before LSU football played UCLA

LSU opened the 2021 season on the road against the UCLA Bruins.

While walking into the stadium before the game, Orgeron had an exchange with a UCLA fan that quickly went viral.

“Bring your a** on in your sissy blue shirt,” said Orgeron to a Bruins fan.

That quote resulted in an endless amount of trolling and even some t-shirts that were made.

I’m not sure any quote on 247Sports’ list had quite the impact that Orgeron’s quote did — especially since LSU ended up losing to UCLA.

Orgeron eventually brushed the quote off as something that was “all in fun”. That’s probably true, but at the time, it certainly sounded like Orgeron was ready to go toe-to-toe with some UCLA fans.

Regardless of how you feel about Coach O, this definitely has to be in consideration for one of the top quotes of the year.
