Former LSU football quarterback Joe Burrow likely gave Tigers fans flashbacks of the 2019 season on Sunday.
Burrow led the Cincinnati Bengals to a massive win against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday afternoon while outdueling quarterback Patrick Mahomes.
The former Tigers standout passed for 446 yards, four touchdowns, and zero interceptions. Mahomes, meanwhile, passed for 259 yards and two touchdowns.
The bulk of Burrow’s passing yards went to former LSU wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase, who caught 11 passes for 266 yards and three touchdowns. That stat line looks like one straight from the 2019 LSU season.
The Burrow/Chase connection on Sunday undoubtedly looked familiar to Tigers fans.
But that wasn’t the only thing that probably looked familiar to LSU fans on Sunday.
Joe Burrow breaks out a cigar in celebration
The Bengals’ clinched the AFC North with their win over the Chiefs on Sunday.
And Burrow celebrated winning the AFC North by lighting up a cigar.

This was exactly the scene after the Tigers beat Clemson in the national championship game in early 2020.
Who can forget one of the coolest photos in the history of college football?!?
Joe Burrow doesn’t always smoke cigars, but when he does, it’s because he’s a national champion.

He is... the most interesting man in college football. 🍻🏈 pic.twitter.com/YFJtGxAPnb
And as an added bonus, the Get the Gat dance that Burrow did on Sunday in the locker room was kind of LSU’s thing during their historic run in 2019. They even did it at the White House.
I have a feeling Burrow is going to have plenty more cigar celebrations in his future. He’s shown over the last few weeks that he’s a future NFL MVP.
Bengals fans should feel fortunate they have Burrow — he’s already completely turned their franchise around.
