Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase showed his love for teammate Joe Burrow on Saturday afternoon before taking on the Las Vegas Raiders in the wild card round of the NFL playoffs.

Chase wore a t-shirt under his jersey that showed Burrow and all the different teams he’s played for — including LSU and Ohio State.

The love between Joe Burrow and Ja’Marr Chase is real

Burrow and Chase have had quite a football journey together.

The duo was part of an incredible season at LSU in 2019 that ended with a 15-0 record and a win against Clemson in the national championship game.

Chase had 84 receptions for 1,780 yards and 20 touchdowns in 2019 while catching passes from Burrow.

The Bengals selected Burrow with the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft as a result of his incredible 2019 season.

After the 2020 season — which ended early for Burrow thanks to a torn ACL — it was obvious that Cincinnati needed to bolster its offensive line.

But to the surprise of many, the Bengals selected Chase with the No. 5 overall pick in the 2021 NFL Draft.

One of the main reasons the Bengals drafted Chase was because of Burrow.

Sports Illustrated’s Albert Breer reported before the draft that Burrow was “stumping” for Cincinnati to select Chase.

In any other situation, I think the Bengals pass on Chase — AKA the wide receiver who didn’t play at all in 2020 (after opting out at LSU) — and go the safe route by selecting an offensive lineman.

Cincinnati, however, was wise to listen to Burrow — Chase has been incredible as a rookie, catching 81 passes for 1,455 yards and 13 touchdowns. Those are great numbers for any wide receiver — even better numbers for a rookie.
