Former LSU football quarterback Joe Burrow apparently had an epic speech for his Cincinnati Bengals teammates on Friday night ahead of their matchup with the Tennessee Titans in the divisional round of the playoffs on Saturday.

That probably doesn’t come as a surprise to anyone.

WLWT’s Mark Slaughter passed along the details of the reported speech, which included some expletives.

Joe Burrow is THE guy when it comes to leading the Cincinnati Bengals

If you’re a Bengals fan, this has to excite you.

Look, the Bengals could lose to the Titans on Saturday and almost everyone in sports would still view Cincinnati’s 2021 season as an incredible success.

Burrow, however, would not.

This is where Burrow expected to be in 2021. He doesn’t care that Cincinnati hadn’t had a playoff win over 30 years. None of that matters to him.

Burrow expects to win. He expects to compete for championships in Cincy.

It would be real easy for the Bengals to not be “up” for the game against the Titans — especially coming off the emotional win over the Las Vegas Raiders last weekend.

Burrow is making sure that his team (that’s right, it’s HIS team) isn’t getting complacent. He’s making sure they have their eyes on the real goal — winning the Lombardi Trophy.

A Super Bowl win has seemed out of reach for the Bengals for so long. But now, with Burrow leading the team, it feels like it’s inevitable.
