Former LSU Football QB Joe Burrow had a great quote after beating Chiefs
By Zach Ragan
Former LSU football quarterback Joe Burrow is heading to the Super Bowl.
And yes, it’s still 2022 — Burrow is just a bit ahead of schedule.
Burrow led the Cincinnati Bengals to a 27-24 overtime win against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday.
What started as a season where Bengals fans simply hoped to see progress — a playoff appearance would’ve sufficed — is now a season where Cincy is one win away from hoisting the Lombardi Trophy in Los Angeles.
Joe Burrow’s great post-game quote
If you’ve seen photos of Burrow away from the field over the last week or so, you’ve likely noticed his massive “JB9” necklace that he’s been rocking.
Clearly, the checks from the Bengals have cleared.
Anyway, after the game, Burrow was asked by a reporter whether or not the diamonds in his necklace are real.
Burrow responded that they’re definitely real, noting that he makes too much money to have fake diamonds.
Look, if anyone else said this, it would come across as a bit pretentious.
But when Burrow says it, it’s likable. I can’t explain it.
Burrow is better than you. He’s better than everyone on the field. He’s rich. And he has no problem letting you know he’s rich.
And somehow we love him for it. It’s honestly remarkable.
But I guess that’s the charm of Joe Burrow. And it’s why he’s able to make everyone around him better.
He’s just a genuine dude who is an elite leader full of confidence.
Whatever he’s doing is obviously working because the Bengals are the hottest team in the NFL right now and they’re one game away from winning the Super Bowl.
