Former LSU football quarterback Joe Burrow is one of the hottest names in sports right now.

Burrow, the No. 1 pick in the 2020 NFL Draft, has the Cincinnati Bengals in the Super Bowl in only his second year in the NFL.

The Bengals were 2-14 just two years ago. They were a punchline. An afterthought.

Yet Burrow has managed to turn Cincinnati into a legitimate Super Bowl contender. It’s unbelievable.

As a result, there are plenty of folks wanting to attach themselves to Burrow.

Ohio State fans are among those folks.

Joe Burrow doesn’t want to be claimed by Ohio State fans

Burrow started his career at Ohio State, but that doesn’t mean he wants to be remembered as an Ohio State quarterback.

Nope, Burrow, while thankful for his time at Ohio State, is all LSU.

This is just another great reason for LSU fans to love Burrow.

Not only did Burrow give LSU the best season in college football history, but he’s also representing the program in a very public way. It’s great to see. And it’s helpful for the Tigers.

Think about it:

A lot of eyes are going to be on Burrow for the next 10 days while we’re waiting on the Super Bowl to be played. There will be even more eyes on Burrow if the Bengals manage to beat the Los Angeles Rams in the Super Bowl.

And at every step of the way, Burrow is going to be repping LSU (not Ohio State). This will be great for the Tigers when it comes to recruiting.

dark. Next. Joe Burrow facing backlash?

Burrow may not be at LSU anymore, but he’s still helping the program more than he probably realizes.
