The year is 2022. Technology has rendered a lot of products obsolete nowadays, especially when it comes to objects that require the use of pen and paper. Companies such as Apple and Samsung have ensured that all people need in the modern age is a phone or tablet, and their lives can seemingly be organized for them with the touch of a button. No matter how much these tech giants try to shove their products down our throats though, they will never replace one common item in the homes of LSU Football fans: the calendar.

Calendars are the embodiment of life’s most beautiful moments. From birthdays to bring your kids to work days, holidays to half days, parties to parent-teacher conferences and everything in between, the calendar has you covered. These few sheets of thick paper contain an entire year’s worth of your life’s events, so its significance is difficult to overstate. Most calendar manufacturers do a great job of including important dates during production, but for fans of SEC football, Christmas is a day that needs to be written in by hand. For the Tigers’ faithful, the most wonderful time of the year is just 34 days away.

LSU Football dropped its 2022/23 season hype video on Monday

LSU will soon begin preparing for its 2022/23 season with Fall Camp. New Head Coach Brian Kelly now has a little over one month to get his team ready for the beginning of a new chapter. The Tigers’ first test will come against Florida State. The Seminoles are in a similar position program wise as they try to reach the levels that fans once demanded of them. The only real difference is that Florida State is getting ready to kick off its third season under Mike Norvell, whereas the Kelly era in Baton Rouge is just getting underway.

The LSU Football social media team reminded fans of this fact when it dropped a hype video for the upcoming season, centered around the new head coach:

There is a lot of uncertainty heading into football season for the Tigers. One thing that still rings true though is that the LSU Athletics video team is still the best in the business. The men and women behind the cameras and computer screens made fans forget all about quarterback competitions and depth chart drama for 60 seconds with this latest masterpiece. Instead, they mesmerized fans with highlights of receivers making big plays and the defense laying the wood. If those are signs of things to come, September 4 cannot get here soon enough.

It’s not always going to be smooth sailing during this transitional period within the program. However, Coach Kelly is a winner and that attitude is going to trickle down all the way to the equipment managers. No matter what the upcoming season holds for the Tigers, they’re going to play with intensity and passion. The hype video perfectly encapsulates the attitude of the era ahead of us under Kelly’s leadership. Let’s just hope there are some wins that follow.
